I have always been fascinated by the unique characteristics of letters and numbers, especially those that contain holes. However, there is no specific term in our language to describe these characters. This is why I propose the inclusion of a new word - "abdego" - into our dictionary.

The term "abdego" would serve as a descriptor for any letter or number that contains a hole within its design. For example, letters such as 'a', 'b', 'd', 'e', 'g' and 'o' along with numbers like 0, 6, 8 and 9 would be classified under this term.

The English language is constantly evolving; according to Oxford Languages, approximately 1,000 words are added to the Oxford English Dictionary each year. The inclusion of "abdego" would contribute towards this linguistic evolution while providing an efficient way to describe these particular characters.

This change may seem small but it can make a significant difference in fields like typography and graphic design where precise descriptions are crucial for effective communication.
