Improvement Urgently Needed at Lollipop Hill, Manor Lakes Wetlands

The issue

Most of us are proud to call Lollipop Hill, Manor Lakes our home. But the first visual aspect you see when entering our estate is the poorly landscaped & severely neglected wetlands.

From ill chosen plants and trees, to thriving weeds and rubbish, our area is becoming not just an eyesore, but also a hazard to residents and local wildlife. Other areas of Manor Lakes such as Lakeside & The Village feature beautifully landscaped lakes and communal areas.. why not our estate too??

• Mosquitos & flying insects are thriving in the area and becoming major pests amongst nearby housing.
• Mice & snakes are residing & breeding in the tall weeds and grasses around the wetlands, creeks & nature strips, becoming a hazard to children, walkers and dogs who utilise the paths daily.
• Local contractors, tradies & visitors to the estate are quickly ascertaining the area is not monitored or maintained, and are observed frequently dumping rubbish & shopping trolleys around the wetlands & creeks.

Residents have had enough with many approaching Dennis Family Developers who refer them on to Wyndham Council. Wyndham Council insists Lollipop Hill still falls under Dennis Family. And so the cycle continues.
We are fed up. We are tired of constantly being referred back & forth with no change. Enough is enough.

As residents can we please urgently request Lollipop Hill, Manor Lakes wetlands be reviewed and maintained by the relevant authority.
