Improvement To Royal Mail Delivery Service.
The Issue
Royal Mail need to employ more staff and improve their service. They are not delivering mail in the time scales they set out. First class is supposed to be next day. Second class is supposed to be delivered in 2-3 working days. That’s what we the customers pay for and customers include banks, hospitals, GP surgeries etc.
I have now spent almost 3 weeks without a bank card due to the horrific royal mail service. The first card was dispatched and did not arrive in the 3-5 working days that the bank stated, therefore they believed it to be lost in the post and cancelled and ordered another one. This now cancelled card, arrived a week later after 10 days. The second card to be ordered has not arrived after 11 days. The bank have now ordered a third card to be sent. This is shocking. In both cases I received pin numbers. I am now waiting for the second and third cards.
A couple of months ago I ordered brochures for the Pittenweem Art Festival. The brochures were sent second class and took 10 days to arrive. They arrived after the festival had finished.
This is happening with all our mail. So anything important that we are being sent is not arriving when it should. Royal Mail need to improve their service and stop cutting back on staff when there are not enough staff in the first place to cover the workload.
