"Improved School Drainage: Ensuring a Safer and Healthier Environment for Students"

The Issue

Safe and efficient drainage in schools holds significant importance for multiple reasons. It plays a key role in preventing water buildup, lowering the chances of flooding that might interrupt classes and harm school structures or health risks. Proper drainage ensures a secure environment for both students, teachers, and staff. Ineffective drainage at Parañaque National High School - Baclaran directly affects students when heavy rainfall occurs. The existing drainage system faces challenges in managing the water flow, the safety of students when walking in school, and also creates unsanitary conditions or causes mosquitoes and other pests, posing health risks to students, teachers, and staff through possible disease transmission.

Insufficient drainage not only endangers students' well-being by exposing them to waterborne illnesses but also not a safe environment. The continuous challenges with the drainage system create a constant risk, affecting the health conditions of the school community. Enhanced drainage is crucial to reduce these risks and ensure a healthier environment that facilitates learning problems for students at the school.

It is time to address the issue of drainage in Paranaque National High School. A healthy and safe school for students, teachers, staff, and other people who go to school will create a secure environment for them. If this issue is not addressed immediately, it can cause risks especially when it is a rainy season that’s why it is important to prevent such impacts. Taking action will also benefit a school for the permanence of educational quality and overall well-being of Parañaque National High School - Baclaran.
