Improve Wheelchair Assistance Services at Dubai International Airport

The issue

Every year, millions of passengers transit through Dubai International Airport, including many with mobility issues who rely on wheelchair assistance. However, there have been numerous instances where this service has been inadequate, leading to distress and inconvenience for these passengers. As one of the world's busiest and most prestigious airports, it's crucial that Dubai International Airport ensures top-notch assistance services for all passengers, including those with mobility needs.

The Problem:

Recently I was transiting through Dubai and experienced significant delays in receiving wheelchair assistance. It took forever to disembark from the plane and get inside the terminal. Then everyone requiring mobility assistance had to congregate in one small area of the airport and wait to be called. This caused great stress and discomfort.

This was not an isolated incident.

Our Request:
We call upon the management of Dubai International Airport and the relevant airline authorities, including Emerites to:

Conduct a Thorough Review of the current wheelchair assistance services.
Increase Staffing and Resources to ensure prompt and efficient service.
Implement a Feedback and Response System where passengers can report their experiences and receive timely follow-ups.
Enhance Training for staff handling wheelchair assistance to ensure they are sensitive and responsive to the needs of passengers with mobility issues.
Regular Monitoring and Reporting on the performance of wheelchair assistance services.
How You Can Help:
By signing this petition, you're not only voicing your concern but also helping to highlight the importance of this issue to airport authorities. Your support can bring about positive changes that will make travel more accessible and enjoyable for all passengers, especially those needing extra assistance.

Together, we can make Dubai International Airport a more inclusive and passenger-friendly hub.

Thanks

Fiona
