Hello supporters,

I received an email from Animal Legal Defense Fund asking for donations to help them fight for the animals at 2 roadside zoos: you're already aware of Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, WA, but also Farmers Inn, PA. OFG is facing a lawsuit & ALDF is suing Farmers Inn.

Please help them fight for these animals' freedom from abuse & neglect. Animals have died under the supposed "care" of these roadside zoos & more are currently suffering for our selfish benefit to watch them entertain us. These animals need our help. If you can't donate, please share this petition to raise awareness & stop people from supporting this cruelty.

For donations, I've attached a link to ALDF's website

Here's a copy of the email sent to me: Thank You!!!

Animals suffering at roadside zoos need you now. Bree, a captive tiger at Olympic Game Farm roadside zoo in Washington, was killed by gunshot. Amadeus, another tiger at the zoo, suffered at least 14 seizures over eight months, but he was neither examined nor treated by a veterinarian. Amadeus remained on display until he died.

During the tourist season, Olympic Game Farm withholds one of three weekly meat meals to make the grizzly bears more active for tourists who throw them bread. The bears — desperate for food — are known to “wave” at people for bread. Up to a third of the grizzly bears’ diet at the zoo is made up of sliced bread that visitors throw at them, which leads to poor health, arthritis, and pain for the bears.

This is animal cruelty, and the perpetrators must be held accountable. That’s why we’ve filed a lawsuit to shut down Olympic Game Farm and rescue the animals. Your support now can help win justice for animal victims of such cruelty and exploitation and give survivors a chance at a healthy life. Will you please give today?

Sadly, the abhorrent treatment of animals is commonplace at roadside zoos. At Farmers Inn, another roadside zoo in Pennsylvania, multiple animals including some endangered species have suffered and died from gross neglect. An elderly bobcat suffered from a painful tumor in her jaw so large that it fractured the jaw in half, yet according to their own records, Farmers Inn didn’t treat the tumor or even notice it despite it protruding from the elderly cat’s mouth.

Visitors have reported seeing animals at Farmers Inn who are sick and injured, including an emaciated goat and foxes suffering from untreated mange. Jack and Jill, the bears, appeared to suffer from heat distress on a day where the temperature exceeded 90 degrees.

The scarlet macaw — protected by the Endangered Species Act — engages in feather destructive behavior, known as plucking, which is usually caused by underlying disease or psychological distress. Under Farmers Inn’s care the bird has become completely bald, except some head and tail feathers.

We’re currently suing Farmers Inn for violating the Endangered Species Act and state animal cruelty laws. These animals deserve to be in sanctuaries that allow them to engage in activities natural to their species and necessary for their health. With your donation right now, we will seek to enforce these laws to provide that for them.

PROTECT ANIMALS NOW

Fighting for the protections that animals need and deserve takes every one of us. To win these battles against roadside zoos and rescue animals from lives of suffering, we need you standing strong beside us. Please donate today to empower our fight. We are determined to use all the legal tools at our disposal to ensure legal protections are applied to animals at roadside zoos.

Thank you for your support.
