I live in a beautiful place San Remo and Blue Haven. These two suburbs, part of the vibrant Central Coast council, are unfortunately falling behind in terms of infrastructure and aesthetics. Dilapidated streets, deficient curb and gutter systems, and unprotected bus stops stare us in the face every day. Pot holes are a common sight, making travel not just inconvenient but downright dangerous. The presence of graffiti taints the beauty of our suburbs, reminding us at every turn how neglect can be profound. 

Our rate money seems to be diverted to the development of other suburbs, an allocation that strikes a blow at our collective community spirit. Isn't it time, I wonder, that San Remo and Blue Haven received the same level of care and attention as the rest of the Central Coast council?

We, the residents of these suburbs, implore the Central Coast council to rectify the current state of affairs. Our request is singular: utilise our rate money for the benefit of the communities that pay it. Re-tar the roads, erect sheltered areas at bus stops, clean up the graffiti, and address the inadequate curb and gutter systems rife in our suburbs.

I appeal to all residents and authorities to champion for equity in this. We deserve to have our neighborhoods looking just as nice as the other suburbs. We are the residents who live, thrive, and contribute to the Central Coast council, and we demand our rightful share of attention.
