The Issue

The FM 1385 and Parvin Road intersection is becoming an increasingly hazardous area. As a concerned resident of the area, I witness the growing danger posed by this intersection daily, fueled by its escalating inadequacies. Recent years have seen significant population growth in the surrounding subdivisions and, with it, a skyrocketing volume of traffic. Every day, commuters, school transportation routes, and heavy construction vehicles converge upon this intersection, creating chaos and gridlock.

Moreover, this intersection's lack of essential traffic control features, such as turn signals, adequate lighting, turn lanes, and sufficient signage, has allowed preventable accidents to become a distressing norm. The only constant is the too-frequent near-miss incidents, exacerbating the worries of every parent, commuter, and worker who navigates through here. During peak hours, prolonged congestion adds to the frustration and risks experienced by all road users.

This situation poses an immediate and alarming risk to the safety and wellbeing of our community. We cannot afford to wait until a more devastating incident occurs. **Our community is demanding actionable solutions**. We urgently need the implementation of safety measures that will include, additional lanes, traffic signals, enhanced lighting, and clearer signage to reduce incidents and ease congestion.

I call upon the appropriate transportation and city authorities to immediately prioritize and fund the necessary safety and infrastructural improvements at the FM 1385 and Parvin Road intersection. **The time to act is now before the consequences become even more severe.**

Join me in making this urgent plea by signing the petition today and help ensure the safety of our families, neighbors, and community members.
