I have struggled with anxiety in school for a while now and being in some of these lessons watching people being treated unfairly at a school is just horrific. It could just be as simple as letting one person watch a film or play games on ipads or laptops or have their phones out and not allowing others. But sadly this discrimination isn't from student it is from staff. It is crucial that staff members treat students with respect and fairness. Negative interactions can significantly impact students' mental health, leading to increased anxiety, depression, and decreased academic performance. According to a study by the National Education Union (NEU), 40% of students reported feeling stressed due to unfair treatment by school staff. We need immediate action to ensure that all students feel safe and respected in their learning environment. Please sign this petition to demand better training for staff on appropriate behavior towards students in Swadlincote schools and schools on a whole across the UK.
