Improve Southeastern University Dining Hall Food and Options

The Issue

We, the undersigned students, are deeply concerned about the current state of the dining hall food and options available on campus.

As students who not only rely on the dining hall for our daily meals, but are required to be on a meal plan, we find it imperative that the university addresses the following issues:

  • Undercooked Food: Instances of undercooked food have been reported, posing a risk to student health and safety.


Poor Food Quality: The overall quality of food served does not meet reasonable standards for freshness, taste, and nutrition.


Lack of Variety: There is a significant lack of diverse meal options, making it difficult to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.


Insufficient Healthy Options: Students seeking balanced, nutritious meals find the current healthy offerings inadequate.


Our Requests: We respectfully urge the university to take immediate action by:

  • Ensuring all meals meet food safety and preparation standards.
    Improving the quality and freshness of ingredients used in meals.
  • Expanding the variety of meal options
  • Increasing the availability of healthy options

We have the above requests but would also be happy to provide specifics on ideas for expanding the variety of options.
