I am writing this petition out of personal concern, stemming from a situation that is close to my heart - the issue of fire APIs, or "api panas" as it is known in my community. These are critical components in many software systems, including those used by emergency services and disaster management teams. However, the safety standards governing these fire APIs are woefully inadequate.

According to a 2020 report by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), there have been numerous instances where faulty or poorly designed fire APIs have led to delays in emergency response times, potentially endangering lives (NIST Report 2020). This is unacceptable. We need stricter regulations and better oversight to ensure that these vital systems function correctly when they are needed most.

The personal toll this issue has taken on me has driven me to start this petition. I believe we can bring about change if we raise our voices together. Please sign this petition calling for improved safety standards for fire APIs - because every second counts during an emergency.
