Since the opening of the Hueytown Primary School, Kenilworth Road and Forest Road has became a safety hazard. Folks whom live in Kenilworth are regularly blocked in by morning and afternoon school traffic, majority of car-line parents are stuck for long periods of time attempting to head to work and other engagements, some may have even been close to being hit by other passing vehichles and High School children are left to walk up a steep inclined road with a blind curve.  Everyone who travels these roads before and directly after schools hours is empacted by this roadway route.  

Something needs to change. If not, it is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt or worst, killed.  Kenilworth is already a dangerous, narrow cut through road with hills and curves that have limited visibility. The sharp turn on Kenilworth to and from Forest Road is sharp with hazards of a steep hill to limit visibility even more so.  Forest Road is not short of similar.  A large hill at the Kenilworth stop sign, multiple turn off roads,  and hills that make it hard to see oncoming traffic. Visibility gets worse with congestion of vehicles waiting for their changes to turn. The same goes for people traveling on Forest Road.  Coming from Hueytown Road the turn off for Kenilworth is invisible until only a couple yards beforehand, Coming from Allison Bonnett,  a curve hides the Kenilworth turn off.  

This is a major hazard at anytime of the day, but more specifically during early mornings and afternoons when the traffic increases due to school car riders. This problem could be easily remedied with a stop sign or flashing red light to help traffic flow with less danger.  It could prevent an accident, injuries, or even a life with a simple fix by the City of Hueytown.
