The Issue

The road infrastructure in Plainview's industrial zones is in dire need of attention. Poor road conditions, including numerous potholes, cracked surfaces, and lack of essential maintenance, are having a negative impact on the community. These problems are affecting logistics operations, employee safety, and customer access, as well as increasing vehicle repair costs for businesses and individuals.

The industrial regions of Plainview, NY, are a backbone of local commerce, hosting countless businesses that contribute significantly to the economy. Yet, the state of disrepair of the roads in these vital areas presents a significant risk and inconvenience to all stakeholders. Trucks and delivery vehicles face daily challenges navigating the damaged roads, leading to potential delays and increased operational costs.

Moreover, the safety of employees commuting to and from these areas is compromised daily by hazardous driving conditions. This not only affects morale but also the overall productivity of the workforce. Clients and customers visiting these companies encounter difficulties, which can deter future business interactions and harm the reputation of the enterprises.

We are seeking a commitment that the roads of the Plainview Industrial Park be repaved within a 12-month period from the date of receipt of this petition. The Roads listed below are listed in Order of worst quality (1) and urgent need of immediate re-pavement:

1. Skyline Dr
2. Commercial St
3. Commercial Ct
4. Terminal Dr
5. Terminal Dr S
6. Express St
7. East & West Ames Ct.
8. Newtown Rd
9. E. Bethpage Rd

We request immediate intervention from the Town of Oyster Bay Highway Department, Supervisor Joseph Saladino, and other local leaders to prioritize and expedite road repair and maintenance. We urge for a comprehensive assessment and an actionable plan that will lead to the improvement of road quality, ensuring safe and efficient transport within the industrial zones.

Sign this petition to support the crucial repairs needed to improve Plainview's industrial areas and safeguard the economic well-being and safety of our community.
