Improve Patient Care and Diagnosis in Emergency and Doctor's Office Visits

Improve Patient Care and Diagnosis in Emergency and Doctor's Office Visits
The Issue
In September 2022, my mother was refused an operation by doctors at McKinney Hospital. We were forced to take her overseas, where the surgery was successfully performed. During our stay, we witnessed the implementation of homeopathic therapy before synthetic drugs were used. On April 16th, 2024, we visited the ER with pain complaints consistent with where her previous mass was located. Despite CT results, doctors diagnosed it as sciatica. By April 24th, I had to call an ambulance to bring my mother back to the ER.
This personal experience highlights a systemic issue in Texas healthcare facilities: inadequate patient care and diagnosis during emergency room and doctor's office visits. Patients must receive complete evaluations and diagnoses during these visits without resorting to guesswork.
Specialists must fully understand pain sources - particularly pain management Doctors who are pivotal in patient comfort and recovery. Surgeons also need to be more aggressive when treating cancer patients.
Moreover, nutrition and holistic care should be integral parts of public healthcare – they proved beneficial for my mother overseas but are often overlooked at home.
Accordingly, this petition calls for changes in due process during emergency visits as well as doctor's office visits across Texas hospitals – starting with McKinney Hospital – ensuring that every patient receives a comprehensive evaluation, accurate diagnosis, aggressive treatment plans if necessary, along with holistic care options being considered before resorting to synthetic drugs.
Let us work together towards a healthcare system that genuinely cares for its patients' well-being rather than one that merely manages symptoms or rushes through diagnoses without considering alternative treatments. Please sign this petition today.
