Improve Parts Availability for Geely Cars in the Philippines
The Issue
Geely is producing great cars but the aftersales service is very bad regarding parts availability. Geely car owners in the Philippines are having issues with parts availability. May it be warranty, service or accidents, numerous reports have been shared in Geely groups about having to wait for 3-8 months for parts of their vehicle.
We want to see actions from Geely Philippines and Sojitz Philippines to address these issues:
1) PMS parts like Air Filters are unavailable most of the time. This is a basic maintenance part. This is unacceptable as some owners are able to order authentic Geely filters from China and delivered to the Philippines in a matter of days.
2) Warranty claims and parts for repair in case of accidents take 3-8 months to arrive. This is unacceptable as most of the time, the vehicle will not be usable during this time period. Is Geely willing to provide a service vehicle during the duration?
We are getting replies from our Agents that Geely Philippines is trying to improve availability of parts but for the past year, we see nothing has improved. People are interested to understand the concrete steps Geely Philippines and Sojitz Philippines are doing to fix these issues.
Geely's cars in the Philippines have been great especially in terms of value for money but this concern on aftersales service is putting off a lot of new car buyers.
