Improve Nords Wharf Public School Infrastructure to create a conducive and enriching learning environment

As a dedicated member of the Nords Wharf community in beautiful Lake Macquarie, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by Nords Wharf Public School due to the lack of adequate facilities. Our school, a central pillar of our community, urgently needs infrastructure improvements to better serve our students and staff.

1. Construction of a School Hall:The school currently lacks a dedicated space for assemblies, cultural programs, artistic events, and social gatherings. A new School Hall would provide a versatile area for these activities and serve as a crucial meeting point during emergencies, addressing significant safety concerns given the surrounding bushland.
2. Shaded Areas: The absence of shaded areas leaves students and staff exposed to the harsh Australian sun, posing health risks as highlighted by the Cancer Council Australia. Proper shading is essential for protecting against potential harm and ensuring comfort during outdoor activities.
3. Covered Walkway: A covered walkway from the front gate to the main undercover areas would offer protection from inclement weather, ensuring safe and comfortable movement around the school.
