Improve Kingswinford's Public Amenities

Improve Kingswinford's Public Amenities
The Issue
Kingswinford, a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in the English West Midlands, is home to thousands of residents who deserve better public amenities. Currently, our town lacks proper public toilets and sufficient waste bins. This not only inconveniences residents but also affects visitors who frequent our local businesses and attractions.
The absence of adequate public toilets can deter people from spending time in our town centre, negatively impacting local businesses. According to a report by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), 56% of UK adults restrict their hydration due to lack of access to public toilets (RSPH Report, 2019). This is not just an inconvenience; it's a health issue that needs addressing.
Moreover, insufficient waste bins contribute to littering problems which harm our environment and wildlife. The Local Government Association reports that councils across England have had to spend £682m on street cleaning services (LGA Report, 2018/19). By providing more bins we could reduce this cost significantly while keeping Kingswinford clean and attractive.
We call upon the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley Council to invest in proper public toilets and increase the number of waste bins throughout Kingswinford. It's time we prioritise community health, cleanliness, environmental preservation while supporting local businesses. Please sign this petition if you agree.
