Improve Infrastructure and Living Conditions in Kuala Lumpur
The Issue
I am a resident of Johor Bahau, a town that has been left behind. My heart is heavy as I witness the stark contrast between my hometown and the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur. This petition seeks to address this disparity by urging the government to improve infrastructure and living conditions in Kuala Lumpur, which will indirectly benefit other parts of Malaysia too.
Kuala Lumpur is home to more than 1.7 million people (Department of Statistics Malaysia, 2019). However, many residents are still grappling with issues such as inadequate public transportation, poor waste management, and lack of affordable housing. These problems not only affect the quality of life for residents but also hinder economic growth.
By improving infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur - such as enhancing public transport systems or implementing better waste management strategies - we can create a ripple effect that benefits other towns like Johor Bahau. A well-developed capital city can attract more investments which could be used for nationwide development projects.
I urge you all to sign this petition so our voices can be heard by those who have the power to make changes happen. Let's work together towards creating an improved living environment for everyone in Malaysia!
