My mother is sick. Like many others in our community of Talisay, Santander, Cebu, she struggles to access the healthcare she needs due to a limited number of facilities and providers. This situation leads to long wait times and overcrowding at our local clinics and hospitals.

The lack of specialized treatments and advanced medical equipment means that residents have to travel long distances for specialized care - an additional burden on already strained resources.

Our community also suffers from insufficient health education and preventive care programs which lead to poorer health outcomes overall. According to the Department of Health Philippines 2018 report, communities with limited access to healthcare education have higher rates of preventable diseases.

We call on the local government officials in Talisay, Santander, Cebu - please prioritize improving our healthcare system. Increase funding for more healthcare facilities and providers; invest in specialized treatments and advanced medical equipment; enhance health education programs.
