I am a resident of Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, and I have personally experienced discrimination due to the deteriorating environmental conditions in our city. Our city is suffering from pollution, improper waste management, and lack of green spaces. These issues not only affect our health but also create an environment that fosters discrimination among its residents.

According to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Tacurong City has been experiencing an increase in air pollution over the past few years. This has led to numerous health issues among its residents including respiratory diseases and allergies.

Furthermore, our city lacks proper waste management systems which results in garbage piling up on streets and public areas. This not only affects the aesthetic appeal of our city but also poses serious health risks.

Lastly, there is a significant lack of green spaces within the city limits which contributes to increased temperatures during summer months making it uncomfortable for residents especially for those who live in densely populated areas.

We urge local authorities to take immediate action by implementing stricter environmental regulations, investing in proper waste management systems, and creating more green spaces within the city limits. By doing so we can improve living conditions for all residents regardless of their social status thus reducing instances of discrimination based on living conditions.
