Loyola University Chicago (LUC) is esteemed for its commitment to inclusivity, yet there is still a critical area for improvement: accessibility across both the Lakeshore and Water Tower campuses. Although steps towards inclusive access have been taken, the accommodation remains inadequate in certain aspects. Many buildings still need improvements in physical access, such as easy to reach ramps, elevators, and automatic doors. Accessible transportation between campuses is another area that requires attention. The provision of reliable, accessible inter-campus transport is essential. Furthermore, up-to-date technological aid, such as braille and audio text, needs to be readily available across all classrooms and facilities. It's essential for institutions like LUC to lead in providing better accessibility features. We're calling on LUC to take a firm stand in updating, improving, and maintaining the accessibility at both campuses.
