I am Amirali Heidary a senior from West Vancouver Secondary School with a deep passion for environmental sustainability. As part of my environmental science class project I have chosen to address an issue that is not only personal to me but also affects the entire community of North Vancouver the need for improved public transit.

Our local transit system is not as effective as it should be. Many residents mostly in British properties find it incredibly challenging to get around without an operating vehicle. This lack of efficient public transportation options does not only inconvenience us but also contributes negatively towards our environment.

Public transportation plays a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by decreasing the number of individual vehicles on the road.

Public transit will also improve accessibility across North Vancouver. It will make commuting easier for everyone students like myself who travel daily to school or adults commuting to work or seniors who rely on public transport for their errands.

This petition aims at urging our local government officials and relevant authorities to take immediate action towards improving and enhancing our current public transit systems. Let's make North Shore more sustainable and accessible through better transportation options.
