Improve and Beautify our Capital City

The Issue

Living in our capital city and working within the heart of its community has not only made me feel like an integral part of this city but has stirred in me a strong desire to its improvement. This city has given me so much - it's where I have built my home, where I have nurtured relationships, and where I work hard every day. Fairly, it is incumbent on us, then, to help make our capital city more beautiful and safe.  I enjoy giving back and working doing the charity work, many will see me with the Sons of the American Legion (Past Detachment Central Section Vice Commander) or with my Masonic family Paxton Lodge 16.

While our city is known for its vibrant community and rich history, residents face challenges ranging from public safety issues to environmental pollution which require immediate attention. According to a study by the Urban Affairs Institute, in the last decade our city experienced an increased rate of minor crimes, and has also witnessed an alarming rate of environmental degradation (Urban Affairs Institute, 2020).

We are petitioning our local government to invest more in community policing, to encourage and ensure safer neighborhoods, and to promote environmentally-friendly initiatives that will make our city not only more attractive but healthier too. We believe in this cause and are requesting our fellow residents to support us to help transform our city into a safe, beautiful oasis where we can all live, work, and thrive. Please sign our petition.
