The issue

As a veteran dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), I’ve found a supportive community and coping mechanism through Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds. However, the game's current design can unveil difficulties for players like me who deal with memory issues.

In line with this, I hereby propose the following enhancements in the upcoming game update:
1) The ability to break combative moves to block. This modification will simplify combat for players dealing with memory-related challenges.
2) The option to press L2/R2 and R1/RB when the weapon is sheathed to attack an open wound. This alteration would make the controls more intuitive and less complex.
3) Access to the Monster Hunter Field Guide inside a tent or campsite, providing crucial assistance whenever required and making the gaming experience smoother.

These requested changes reflect an ongoing issue in the gaming industry: 1 in 5 adult Americans, many of whom are gamers, live with some form of disability, but accessibility in games remains a pervasive issue (Center for Disease Control and Prevention).

We urge Capcom to be mindful of such gamers' needs and take this opportunity to carve a path for industry-wide change. Implementing these features won’t just make the game more enjoyable for players like me but it would also set a precedent in the gaming industry, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their disabilities, can enjoy games to the fullest. We call on you to sign this petition to convince Capcom of the importance of these changes and the impact they could have on their dedicated gamer community.
