Why this petition matters?

 

Nowadays, our school suffered from improper disposal of waste materials, because some of the students does not know how to throw their trash in the trash bin. They do not think of the possible result of their actions on the environment as well as on health. This behavior causes problem in our school and we need to address this kind of issue.

 

Waste management is the process of managing and disposing of waste materials. This can involve discarding, destroying, processing, recycling, reusing, or controlling waste. The main goal of waste management is to minimize the amount of unusable materials produced and to prevent potential health and environmental risks.

Cause

1. Misbehavior or carelessness: Some student in our school are reckless in throwing their garbage.

2. Inadequate facilities: The school may not have enough trash bins or composting facilities to handle the amount of waste by student.

3. Lack of awareness: There are student who do not understand the impact of their waste on the environment.

4. Lack of knowledge: They do not know how to put their waste in the trash bin properly even though, there are trash bins inside the school.

 

Effect:

1 Littering of waste: Improper disposal of waste can lead to littering of trash in school grounds and surrounding area.

2. Health hazard/ risk: Inadequate facilities for waste disposal can lead to the accumulation of waste in school grounds, which can attract rodents and insects. This can lead to the spread of diseases and infections.

How we can solve this?

 

We can solve this issue or problem in our school through:

1. Proper Education and Awareness: To address improper waste disposal in schools, it is crucial to educate students, and staff about proper waste management practices. This can be achieved through seminars, and campaigns that emphasize the significance of segregating waste, reducing, reusing, and recycling.

2. Provide adequate facilities (eg. Trash bin, trash bag): School should provide facilities such as trash bin, and trash bag. These bins should be place in strategic locations throughout school premises, so that student could throw their trash in the proper bin.

3.Monitor and Evaluate: Do the clean and green operation so that we achieve cleanliness in the environment and we can avoid illness. Monitoring and evaluating waste materials in school premises is crucial because this help create a cleaner, and sustainable learning environment for everyone.

 

Moreover, this petition matters because improper waste disposal in schools not only affects the environment but also the health and well-being of students and staff. By raising awareness and implementing proper waste management practices, we can create a cleaner and safer learning environment for everyone. Proper education, discipline as well as providing adequate facilities, can help solve the problem of improper waste disposal in school. Additionally, in educating students, and staff on the importance of waste segregation, reduction, and recycling can instill lifelong habits that will benefit them and the planet in the long run.
