Dear President Biden,

Thank you for supporting Ukraine and imposing sanctions on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine. It's clear that the sanctions work and have an effect. However, it's also clear that they are not stopping Russia from continuing the aggression.

USA and EU are the main buyers of Russian oil and they pay over $700M daily which is used to fund the Russian military and is now being used to support the terror in Ukraine.

There is no doubt it's a tough decision to impose an embargo on Russian oil. It's logical that you care about preventing a spike in gas prices, similar to the EU's concern. However, it's critically important to use all available methods to stand with the world in stopping the aggression in Ukraine. Last week has shown the whole world that previously unforeseen and unexpected violence has actually happened, and unimaginable and inhumane daily bombing of European peaceful cities with civilians, innocent children killed is a reality, that unprecedented nuclear terrorism is not a limit for Russia.

Many western banks, refineries, and shipowners are in fact "self sanctioning" the ban and have already stopped buying Russian oil resulting in about 70 percent of Russian crude to be struggling to find buyers. The USA needs to support this wide initiative and impose a formal embargo.

We all know that the Government of The United States is already considering banning Russian oil. We urge you to take this current appeal as our complete support for your decision and, please, make it happen as soon as possible.
