In our esteemed college, MBCET we are still employing the use of a basic Notepad for coding purposes. Notepad is a dated program with several limitations and has shown to hamper the learning process for our budding coders. On the other hand, Visual Studio Code (VS Code) Editor is a modern code editor developed by Microsoft. It offers features such as debugging, built-in Git, and support for numerous programming languages, making it a versatile tool for coders at all levels. According to a 2020 Stack Overflow Developer Survey, VS Code is the most popular development environment, used by over 50% of responders globally. By shifting to VS Code, our college can stay in-step with advancements in technology and provide a more conducive learning environment. Consequently, we are requesting the administrative body to consider this shift from Notepad to VS Code. Help us enhance our learning experience and stay relevant in this modern era by signing this petition.
