As a deeply concerned parent, I would like to call for two full-time assistant principals to be stationed at US Jones and Westside elementary schools in Demopolis, AL. My daughter attends Westside Elementary School, and I, among countless other parents, believe that our children deserve to have a full-time assistant principal available to them during the school day. The teachers working at the Demopolis city schools also deserve to have a full time assistant at their disposal throughout the school day. This is not a position to be divided and whittled down. 

Ensuring two full-time assistant principals would be a substantial step in achieving greater student attention and mentoring. With large numbers of students at both schools, one person cannot feasibly or effectively manage all assistant principal duties. 

By appointing two full-time assistant principals, we can help remove some of the stress off of the overloaded staff, and contribute towards a more conducive, healthy, and productive academic environment for our children.
