I, a concerned citizen of Delhi , pen this plea in the wake of a personal tragedy. My mother fell victim to a traffic accident at the intersection near BPIT college, Rohini sector 11, Delhi, an incident that could've been prevented with better traffic infrastructure in place. We rely on these roads for safety and ease of transportation, yet their current state places countless others at risk every day. 

The situation is dire. No red light or pedestrian crossing is currently present at the mentioned intersection, allowing vehicles to speed recklessly without giving thought to pedestrian safety. The absence of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings render the busy and bustling roads surrounding BPIT College a ticking time-bomb for accidents. It's high time authorities understood the gravity of this situation and acted accordingly.

We are not alone in our sorrow and our demand. Many families have been shattered due to accidents at this intersection. According to Delhi Traffic Police's annual report, the city witnessed 5,638 accidents in 2019, a significant proportion of which took place on poorly equipped intersections (source: Delhi Traffic Police Annual Report, 2019). The lack of basic safety infrastructure is costing us innocent lives and inflicting needless suffering on families.

We, therefore, call upon the traffic authorities in Delhi to immediately implement a red light and pedestrian crossing at the intersection main road near BPIT college, Rohini sector 11, Delhi.
