Rollins College has a commitment to reducing its environmental impact. In line with this commitment, we propose the implementation of the Rollins College Sustainable Living Initiative (RCSLI) legislation. This legislation aims to transform on-campus residence halls into sustainable living spaces by endorsing and supporting the RCSLI's efforts to implement sustainable practices, starting with the construction of the new Holt Neighborhood. RCSLI presents ways for residence halls to become more energy efficient, conserve water, and utilize sustainable construction practices. The purpose of this initiative is not just about making changes within our campus but also setting an example for other institutions around us. By establishing Rollins College as a leader in environmentally conscious living, we can inspire other colleges and communities to follow suit.
