I am a concerned Canadian citizen, deeply troubled by the current government's actions. Our leaders, elected to represent us, seem to have forgotten their duty. They have silenced our voices and taken self-governing power over the very people they were meant to serve. As taxpayers, we've had enough!

We demand a bill or law that holds any sitting Prime Minister or Member of Parliament accountable for awarding themselves wage increases or bonuses while our country is in debt. This proposed legislation will be known as "The Politician Fair Act". It stands for fairness and accountability - no raises, no bonuses until Canada's financial health is restored.

Additionally, we call for a rental cap that reflects those on Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and Old Age Security recipients' income levels. We also urge proper adjustments to monthly income above poverty lines so these vulnerable groups can live without fear of becoming homeless.

According to Statistics Canada, nearly 3 million Canadians lived below the poverty line in 2018 [source: Statistics Canada]. This number has likely increased due to recent economic challenges. It's time we prioritize those who are struggling instead of padding politicians' pockets.
