Implement the Japanese Grading Scale in our Educational System

Implement the Japanese Grading Scale in our Educational System
The Issue
We've all been there, endlessly studying and striving for better grades. For me, the current grading system felt like an insurmountable obstacle. But what if there was an opportunity for a fairer, more balanced assessment system?
As much as it is personal, it is also about acknowledging the potential benefits that implementing the Japanese grading scheme can bring to many students like me. The Japanese grading system makes it easier to achieve an 'A', providing more opportunities for academic success.
In Japan, an A is awarded to scores of 80% and above, compared to 90% or above in most other countries. This 10% difference may seem minimal, but it can mean the world to a student on the brink of passing or failing. A research study by the University of Tokyo confirmed that students tend to be more motivated to learn when they are positively reinforced and see the possibility of getting a higher grade.
We are not calling for an academic compromise, but an academic reformatting. Let's benefit from a change in perspective that can inspire more students to engage with education and even excel in their studies.
Please sign this petition to reinforce the call to implement the Japanese grading scale in our educational system. Together, we can make this change happen and inspire students for generations to come.
