We are the voice for the voiceless. We are you, I, Mini Splits USA and countless others who have come to realize something very stark about the treatment of dogs in Hardy County, West Virginia. While most places around the country have laws and enforcement measures in place to safeguard dogs and administer their rights, Hardy County sadly, has remained behind.

My own story is just one example. However, it's undeniable that the situations like mine are too numerous to be ignored. What we're asking for is not unprecedented. Berkeley County, West Virginia has successfully implemented a dog ordinance (Dog Tethering, Vicious, Howling or Barking Ordinance) that stands as an example for what Hardy County can take up. This ordinance lays out specific rules about how to treat dogs. For instance, it regulates tethering durations, dog viciousness, and excessive noise. It sets the precedent so dogs aren't unduly stressed or constantly subjected to neglect or abuse.

It's time to extend the same rights to the dogs in Hardy County. This can be our collective stand against animal cruelty. The support of every local and vacation homeowner is crucial to ensure the dogs in Hardy County aren't left feeling helpless.
