First and foremost, Thank you President Donald J Trump for keeping your word and placing America and its Citizens first! 

Over the past four years, our democracy has been challenged in ways never seen before. It has become clear that to maintain the integrity of our democratic system, we must hold our elected officials to a higher standard than ever before. This requirement necessitates the implementation of term limits for all politicians within our elected government. 

Term limits are a crucial tool for preventing power monopoly and encouraging fresh perspectives within our government. They enable diverse viewpoints, foster innovation and avoid stagnation. Indeed, 15 states have already implemented legislative term limits and emerged healthier and more responsive to their constituents (National Conference of State Legislatures).

Our plea for term limits is not unfamiliar. Thomas Jefferson vocally advocated for rotation in office, stating that "nothing so strongly impels a man to regard the interest of his constituents, as the certainty of returning to the conditions of the latter."

In the past month, we have witnessed how the lack of term limits can contribute to a dysfunctional government that ultimately fails its people. To restore faith in our system and ensure robust representation for all citizens, it is imperative that we take immediate action.
