According to a 2019 report from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Philippines generates around 40,000 tons of waste daily with only about 12% being recycled or composted. This not only poses environmental risks but also health hazards for the residents. We call upon our local government in Cabuyao to take immediate action by implementing stricter regulations for waste disposal and promoting recycling programs within our community.
