With the traction gained over the past two years on my health battle, a small group of kiwis have formed all with the same reactions to cipro... and in recent weeks have submitted a joint health and disability complaint with several others contributing with their own submissions all with details of symptoms and timelines clearly outlining the lack of acknowledgement and understanding in nz around fluroquinolone toxicity and the support required...and sadly the snowball effect that follows exposure to the anti biotic, many still affected years later.

We all hope to have some acknowledgement and accountability and support moving forward....and most importantly awareness and the opportunity to educate doctors and medical providers around the real risks of fluoroquinolones...putting faces and stories to names and the hopes to sit down face to face with the ones who have the power and compassion to make much needed changes around it's prescribing practises.
