Despite existing laws like the Animal Welfare Act of 1998 (Republic Act No. 8485), enforcement remains weak and penalties insufficient to deter perpetrators. This lack of stringent measures has led to an alarming increase in cases of animal abuse.

According to data from the Philippine Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA), there has been a significant rise in reported incidents over recent years - a clear indication that current legislation is not enough.

We believe that animals have rights too; they are sentient beings capable of feeling pain and experiencing emotions just like us humans do. Therefore, it's high time we take a stand against this grave injustice happening right under our noses.
