I am deeply against animal cruelty as many people are. It's an issue that affects me greatly day in day out and I believe it's time we take a stand to protect these innocent creatures.
Every year, thousands of dogs/cats suffer at the hands of humans due to intentional harm or neglect. 

It is crucial that we establish strict penalties for those who purposely harm or kill these beautiful creatures.
This should include potential jail sentences and hefty fines as deterrents for such heinous acts. By doing so, we can send a clear message that cruelty will not be tolerated.
Our laws need to reflect our values as a society that cares for all living beings. Animals cannot speak up for themselves; they rely on us to be their voice and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
