I stand before you as an individual who has experienced the traumatic loss of cherished pets, and has witnessed multiple accidents all due to drivers excessively speeding in an area filled with children and animals, specifically on the streets that connect to the four-way stop near Las Animas Park. I understand the likelihood of getting speed bumps on all of the streets is low but I believe getting them on wren is a strong start! I share this space with my young brothers who frequent the park and I fear for our and others safety when it comes to this four way stop. 

The fear instilled in us by this situation prompts us to envisage a community where our streets reflect the safe, secure environment we desire. This is an urgent call to action for the implementation of speed bumps on the streets around Las Animas Park.
