Implement Regular Trash & Litter Clean up in Leflore County , Oklahoma

The Issue

My name is Sue Ann Adams Loggains, a proud resident of Leflore County, Oklahoma. Every day, I witness the growing problem of roadside litter that not only tarnishes the beauty of our community but has far-reaching impacts - health hazards, environmental concerns, and threatens our local growth and prosperity. We need your urgent action. We call on our local and state officials to assign funding for regular cleanups and maintenance of all roadside ditches across our region. Partnering with state and local programs, such as the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's Adopt-a-Highway Program, would greatly enhance these efforts. Furthermore, strengthening anti-littering law enforcement and executing public awareness campaigns are key to prevent the issue from further escalation. Estimates show that roadside litter cleanup costs the U.S. over $11.5 billion each year, much of which is footed by volunteer groups and taxpayers. Our community should not bear these avoidable costs. It's time to make our community clean and safe again, and it starts with your support. Please sign this petition to help urge our officials to act! (Keep OKLAHOMA Clean!)
