Implement Population Control Measures in India

The Issue

I am deeply concerned with our country India burgeoning population. Recent statistics show that India holds 17.7% of the world's population, adding approximately 20 million people each year (source: Census 2021, India). The weight of increasing numbers places an enormous burden on our natural resources and infrastructure. This unchecked population growth also threatens our children’s future and their ability to have access to a quality life and good health.

In the 1970s, an initiative named 'nasbandi' aimed at family planning was initiated, yet over the decades we've drifted away from such necessary measures. Now, in light of the recent population explosion and depletion of resources, it's time we restart smart population control strategies.

We are not advocating for extreme steps like forced sterilization as was done in the past, but for a policy that encourages and promotes family planning with education, access to contraceptives, and necessary support. Making a rule to only allow two children per male and if remarried, limit to one more additional child. This is both to ensure the public's rights are maintained and to alleviate the strain on our beloved country's resources.

A sustainable India is possible. We need your help to urge our government to tackle this crucial issue. By signing this petition, you are paving the way for a better future for ourselves and generations to come. Please, sign and share this petition.
