Implement No School on Halloween Day

Implement No School on Halloween Day
The Issue
I, like many others, feel excluded when school is held on Halloween. It's a day that should be filled with fun and excitement, not stress from schoolwork. Moreover, students and teachers alike could use the break in the midst of a busy academic calendar. In fact, according to the American Psychological Association (APA), taking breaks can actually improve productivity and well-being.
Halloween is more than just costumes and candy; it's a cultural event that brings communities together. By having school on this day, we are missing out on these communal experiences which are crucial for our social development.
Therefore, we urge our local education authorities to consider implementing no school on Halloween Day. This will not only promote inclusivity but also contribute to better mental health among students by providing them with a much-needed break.
Please sign this petition if you believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy cultural festivities without feeling left out or stressed due to academic pressures.
