I am a resident of Broadway Overlook, a community located in Baltimore, MD, USA. Each day, I observe our community's potential, knowing that we could thrive better with more effective leadership. More importantly, I worry for the safety of my children and envision a community that can be safer and more comfortable for residents like us.

We need to vote for a new tenant council board for Broadway Overlook, electing people who have our best interests at heart and will actively champion the betterment of our community.

The Baltimore Neighborhood Indicator Alliance reports that the crime rate in our area is significantly high compared to the city's average (Baltimore Neighborhood Indicator Alliance, 2019). This data echoes our urgent need to have leaders who would help institute measures to ensure our safety, from improving the lighting in our streets to fostering neighborhood watch programs.

Furthermore, research indicates that strong leadership in tenant organizations can result in considerable improvement of living conditions and property values (Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey, 2018).

Therefore, it's paramount that we, as residents, seize this opportunity to have our voices heard and take the necessary steps to transform Broadway Overlook into the place we deserve. Our children deserve to continue their upbringing in a community that not only listens but also acts to make a significant difference.
