As a passionate Wattpad user, I have joined many others in facing a recurring issue that greatly impacts the enjoyment of our online experience - the ability to effectively manage our followers and followings. Currently, there is no feature in place that notifies us when someone unfollows, nor is there an option to search usernames within followers/following lists. These deficiencies make it difficult for dedicated users who choose to follow back their readers. If implemented, these proposed changes would undoubtedly make life easier for us, and many in the Wattpad community. It is not just about convenience, but about respect for time and effort we invest in the platform.

Wattpad boasts a user base of over 90 million people monthly, with a 23% year-over-year growth (TechCrunch, 2020). Considering the massive audience, enriching user interaction capabilities should be a priority. A simple notification when someone unfollows, or a search option within the followers/following lists, will promote more efficient and satisfying user engagement.

Listening to and acting on user feedback is integral to the development and success of any platform. By addressing this issue, Wattpad can bolster its user-friendly reputation and further cement its standing as a leading social media platform for writers and readers.
