A growing number of male students at Abanon National High School are getting ear piercings. Personally, I find it inappropriate and potentially harmful, as fake materials may pose health risks.

While ear piercings can be a form of personal expression, they can also lead to issues with discipline and academic focus. It's essential for our school to set boundaries that cultivate a good learning environment. Without a coherent policy, students may prioritize fashion over their studies, which could lead to a decline in discipline and academic achievement.

Implementing a clear policy on school attire, as seen in educational systems around the world, can serve as a model for us. By having a clear policy, Abanon National High School can ensure that students stay focused on academics and maintain a disciplined atmosphere. This is about fostering a setting that maximizes educational potential and minimizes distractions.

I urge the school administration to implement a clear, fair, and enforceable policy on ear piercings for male students. Let's ensure our school prioritizes education and discipline while preserving the health and well-being of our community.
