I am a resident of NSW, Australia, and like many others in our community, I am a proud dog owner. Our pets are not just animals; they are family members who deserve the same rights to exercise and swim as we do. Unfortunately, current regulations restrict our dogs from freely enjoying the south end of Lake Conjola beach.

We propose that the south end of Lake Conjola beach be designated as leash-free for dogs. This will allow our four-legged friends ample time to play, socialize, and swim without infringing on other beachgoers' enjoyment during peak hours.

Studies show that off-leash areas contribute positively to both canine and human health by promoting exercise and social interaction (source: Australian Veterinary Association). Furthermore, many cities around the world have successfully implemented similar policies without any significant increase in incidents (source: International Association of Canine Professionals).

We believe this change would greatly enhance the quality of life for both dogs and their owners in our community while maintaining harmony with all who enjoy our beautiful beach. We urge local authorities to consider this proposal seriously.
