As a deeply concerned citizen of Oregon, I dread the increasing forest fires sparked by the homeless camps, which the Supreme Court has granted permission to disband. Despite this decree, our regional politicians have made no substantial effort to address this crisis. This lackadaisical attitude is endangering our lives and our homes, with the rampant fires jeopardizing our beloved state's natural beauty.

Despite it seeming extreme, one possible solution is considered controlled deforestation. By doing so, we aim to drastically reduce the risk of forest-wide fires, which endanger both the citizens of Oregon and the homeless population residing within these wooded areas.
