Myself and many others across the UK have been targeted by multi-level marketing (MLM) companies.

Employees are promised high earnings. Most are sent door to door for long hours with only commission pay at the end of it all. They sell a dream to people who are out of work and desperate for employment. I myself have been approached, and constantly emailed for roles with these companies. 

These companies use pressuring sales tactics to generate business and have seen to be targeting vulnerable people at their doors! 

They often operate with little oversight, leading to deceptive practices that can financially harm individuals. According to a report by the Federal Trade Commission, 99% of participants in MLMs lose money. It's time for the UK government to step in and implement stricter regulations to protect consumers and unemployed people from these predatory schemes.

• Enforce all MLMs to guarantee a national living wage to employees on commission-only pay.
• Ban mandatory sign up fees.
• Require all MLM organisations to publish annual income disclosure statements.
• Require job advertisements for these companies to disclose commission-only pay.
