Implement Annual Passholder Lanes and Increased Perks at Disney World

The Issue

Walt Disney World prides itself as the happiest place on earth, but the lengthy wait times to enter the theme parks and limited rewards for the Annual Passholders contradict this claim. We propose that the Walt Disney World Corporation introduce dedicated parking lanes for Annual Passholders. This initiative will not only decrease wait times, thus increasing guest satisfaction, but also reduce their employee overhead. Based on surveys, most visitors spend an average of 15-30 minutes waiting to park (source: Orlando Sentinel).

Further, to acknowledge the loyalty of Annual Passholders, we propose providing them with increased perks such as lightning pass discounts, complimentary photographs, and food and beverage discounts. Research shows that customer loyalty programs dramatically improve customer retention. For example, a Bain & Company study found that increasing customer retention rates by 5% can increase profits by 25% to 95%.

By implementing these proposals, Disney will strengthen its relationship with its loyal customers while improving overall guest experience.
