Implement all Indian Supreme Court Suggestions made regarding LGBTQ Rights

The Issue

As a member of the LGBTQ community, I know firsthand how inequality feels. We are achieving progress, with the Indian Supreme Court suggesting (Same Sex Marriage Case) measures to safeguard our rights. However, the government overlooked vital sections in its implementation.

While appreciating the steps taken, some significant aspects, including succession rights, maintenance, and financial benefits under the Income Tax Act 1961, rights from employment such as gratuity, family pension and insurance were not considered. These rights were among the measures suggested by the Indian Supreme court. The Indian Government did not implemented these suggestions. We also cannot take the body of our partner if their kin/family reject us from taking it. We ask for a Deed of Family Association so we can take our partner's dead body without anybodies approval. Indian national commission has also relucting to ban conversion therapy. They have not put it in Professional misconduct. Showing their transphobia they call being transgender a Gender Identity Disorder.

By not covering the suggested comprehensive measures, Indian Government indirectly marginalise an already oppressed community. This results in not only a devaluation of civil liberties but also a potential financial loss for the LGBTQ people concerned.

Hence, we insist that the government incorporates these successor rights in its legislation, ensuring equality for all. We implore all those who believe in equal rights and justice to support us in this fight by signing this petition. Together, we can create a just world where love prevails over prejudice.
